Our own personal walkway

Getting off the metro near our place you have three options: go towards Wilson, towards Clarendon, or towards us! We live in Colonial Village and this walkway takes you under the main roads and out into a parking lot that connects to our street. It's really convenient!

Living in DC

Our apartment still isn't completely set up yet (we did get internet this morning!), but I promise to put pictures up eventually. We love our place though :) It is the perfect size and perfect location! We decided to go in to DC tonight just because we could!Washington MonumentLincoln MemorialWorld War II MemorialWhere I worked last summer...Where I'm going for my birthday in a couple weeks!

Back!

Well we're back from Jamaica after a long day at multiple airports yesterday. We flew into Reagan around 11.30pm last night and got to walk home from the metro! It is one of my first experiences about how convenient it is to live near DC, and even though it was late, I was tired, and I had to carry a suitcase, it was still exciting!
We don't have internet set up yet at the apartment due to something about our outside cables being exposed and some sort of animal chewing them up.. but hopefully we'll have it by the end of the week.

Our Honeymoon!

This is a throwback post (done in February 2023 as our kids were asking for honeymoon pictures!), so the details are scarce but the pictures are here! We went to Jamaica and stayed at a Sandals resort...

We had breakfast in bed on a rainy day and continued eating delicious food...

We played games at the pool...like fishing for rum. Went to San Gennaros for dinner.

Dinner on the beach, hanging at the pool, and fun drinks like a coconut, and an Uncle Sam.

And finally we headed home...
