I found them everywhere when I was unpacking my stuff when I moved. I do remember going to Longwood with Jackie when she was there and there were ladybugs all over this one window in a building on campus. on the inside of the window. I'm sure you're not alone in this.erinhttp://erinstechnologicworld.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624214623182393239.post-26038485152569015782009-12-10T00:28:39.046-05:002009-12-10T00:28:39.046-05:00This happens at my parents house, too. In fact the ladybugs you have are from Asia. Here is an article about it: http://www.ca.uky.edu/ENTOMOLOGY/entfacts/ef416.asp. Admittedly I only skimmed it. Summary. These are a newish type of ladybug to the usa and they hibernate, and therefore swarm into your house. Unless you completely seal every single crack you are going to have to get used to them. So no you are not alone in ladybug infestations, but they really aren't that bad.
Take care,
SuzSuzaphonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03357452412218658080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624214623182393239.post-84468462899305875352009-12-09T10:47:38.695-05:002009-12-09T10:47:38.695-05:00how strange! i would have expected them in summer,...how strange! i would have expected them in summer, nor winter. maybe they are looking for refuge from the cold?Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12771934946643322908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624214623182393239.post-34834665273575246342009-12-08T22:23:28.690-05:002009-12-08T22:23:28.690-05:00We used to have lady bugs all the time on the wind...We used to have lady bugs all the time on the windows in our living room in the old house.Pattyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00374336482711643009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624214623182393239.post-3195872554258788072009-12-08T22:10:02.996-05:002009-12-08T22:10:02.996-05:00we have an ant infestation in our bathroom. and it...we have an ant infestation in our bathroom. and it's freezing in there! i'm not sure where they come from. but they are alwaaaays there. we also had some other weird bug infestation for a while...they kind of looked like fireflies, without the coolness of lighting up. that one seems to have died down in the past week or so...Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15774498318478907153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7624214623182393239.post-23138892548046072532009-12-08T21:22:48.908-05:002009-12-08T21:22:48.908-05:00although i also live in central VA so this isnt to...although i also live in central VA so this isnt too much of a consolation, we've also had that problem! not so much this year, but definitely in years past!jenniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02191320971500077705noreply@blogger.com
