I've sort of been on a hiatus from blogging during the week. We got to spend lots of time with both of our families just relaxing, watching movies, playing cards, baking, etc. We started at my house for the traditional baking all day long and doing last minute things on Christmas Eve to get ready for Christmas. We roasted chestnuts (I got the idea from Maggie) but they didn't go over too well. No one was really a huge fan of them! We did our homemade pizza dinner, took a walk, and dad read Twas the Night Before Christmas. Of course we did the pyramid picture that we take every year, and this year Chris got to join in!
The next morning we drove over to Chris's house to spend Christmas day. We opened gifts, watched movies, ate a delicious dinner, and got to stay in sweatpants ALL day. It was fantastic.
I didn't take a single picture this whole Christmas, so I hope you enjoy these couple via my mom's camera.
Merry Christmas!! We hope you had a great one!

I read Maggie recipe and we didn't cover them with salt or leave them cooking for 30 minutes - it was more like 15 minutes. I say we try it again!
that pyramid picture is awesome. but who was the 6th person prior to chris?
There was no 6th person before I joined the pyramid. It was always just eric and mr. hall on the bottom, katie and mrs. hall in the middle and lauren on top. You might say that I complete them.
im sorry the chestnuts didn't work out... maybe dave can give us all a tutorial on chestnut roasting... the pyramid looks awesome :)
Chris adding to the pyramid just really balances it out! Great addition!
that's sweet chris. very sweet.
