Family weekend presentation

This weekend I gave a presentation to students' parents for parents' weekend at the college.  I wasn't too concerned.  I had gone over the speech in my head a couple times, studied up on information so I could field any questions thrown at me and printed out notes in case I forgot something.  I grabbed a cup of coffee at a mingling event that was occuring before my session and ran up to my office to check my mail.  I set the coffee down on the keyboard tray of my desk and went about my business.  What I hadn't anticipated doing was spilling the entire cup of coffee on my chair, floor, and pants about 20 minutes before I had to speak!  I got up to get ready to go and absent-mindedly shoved the keyboard tray back in, effectively flipping the cup onto my lap and floor.  I panicked and grabbed handfuls of paper towels to mop up the puddles and try to dry my pants.  In the end, it didn't look so bad; but I was still careful to try to stand directly behind the podium lest some observant parent notice :)

Oh Katie, that's awful! I'm glad there was a podium for you to stand behind!

PS: Love you post about the dollar stores. That's about as bad as Ballston's fake mall...hahaha!
