Goodreads

I've been debating whether to give you an update on the reading list I told you about back in January. I've finished a few more books over the last two months - some good, some not so good. I ultimately decided that I'm not going to do that for a couple reasons. The main reason being that many of you probably aren't all that interested in what I'm reading. Other reasons are that some of the books I finish I'd rather forget than write a short summary or review of them a month later :) and I don't want to discourage anyone from reading a book just because I didn't like it. Who knows, it may end up being the best book you've ever read!

But, I've come up with a compromise! After having twice checked out a book from the library, brought it home and started reading it only to find out a few pages in that it sounds rather familiar and that I've read the book before - I've decided to join Goodreads. Goodreads helps me keep track of books I've finished, and ones I want to read in the future. Right now my list mainly consists of the books on the list I'm reading through, plus some of their sequels. Now that I have all the books bookmarked online, it's much easier and faster to create a list when I'm about to head to the library.

So now I'm going to add this little bookshelf to my page, and if you happen to be interested in a book I'm reading or have read, feel free to ask about it. Or if you use Goodreads already and you want to recommend a book to me, feel free to do that, too!

Jennie - the lovely bones was okay. I didn't really love it, but I've heard a ton of people did, so definitely read it if you're interested!

Erika - I tried to rate the books I've read with stars on goodreads, so you'll know that the ones I gave a 1 or 2 to I didn't like, and the ones I gave a 5 to were awesome! I'm so glad you joined! I'll have to go through your shelf and pick some books to read!

Katie, thanks for the idea of Good Reads. I keep a list of the books I've read, but I'm always losing notes on books people have recommended to me. I just joined. Have to figure out how to use it, but I'm happy I can keep track of books that I want to read.
