Celebrating the sibs

Yesterday was my bro's birthday and we celebrated him along with Lauren this past weekend!

My mom made a Duncan-themed cake (that's Eric's Christmas kitten). We weren't thinking and ended up organizing the candles in two little groups - one for E and one for L, but since the candles were so close together it created quite the flame :)

Lauren got a birdcage for her birthday that the little dude didn't really like being stuck in. He couldn't figure out why he couldn't climb out even though he could get his arms out.

He did enjoy playing with the yarn from one of my crafting projects, though. I even rolled it into a ball for him:

It was a great weekend/birthday celebration that culminated in the Super Bowl. Happy birthday Eric!!

Did Duncan eat the bird that was going to live in that birdcage?

Nice birthday party!

Haha Jennie - there was no bird! I think it was purely decorative, you know, for candles and stuff :)

that is an impressive cake -- and flames! what is your knitting project??

Maggie - it wasn't knitting, it was just making a decoration using yarn (which is why there isn't much of it!). Anyway, I never finished it, so if I ever do, I'll send you a picture :)
