Cape Cod Reunion

Last weekend we went up to Cape Cod, MA to participate in a hugely extended family reunion. There were around 100 family members there from Chris' mom's side of the family. Each extended family was assigned a color t-shirt to wear, which is why you see so many color blocks in the picture below. Our family was green!

We had a lot of cousin time so it was great to catch up and see everyone all in one place. These are all the cousins that were present, but there were more there in spirit, I'm sure, who couldn't make it this weekend.

The evening before we left, everyone gathered again to head to Nauset beach for an hour or so to see the ocean. It. was. freezing. It was so much fun, but I didn't get anything past my shins wet because it was so windy and the water was cold. Despite the wind, we all went out for ice cream afterward.

We also took a sunset cruise the first night we arrived on a boat belonging to the people with whom we stayed. They showed us some unbelievable hospitality.

It was a long drive for a short trip, but we got the chance to meet a lot of new people and have some fun with family. Next time I head all the way up to New England though, I'll probably stay for a little bit longer ;)

(All pictures are lifted from family members except the sunset ones, but since there were so many taken, I have no idea anymore who took each picture! Thanks to all the weekend photographers!)
