Baby Shower!

Last weekend, my mom, sister, and my college roommates all came into town to throw me and Baby Strat a baby shower! It was absolutely gorgeous and wonderful! Both future grandmas and all of Baby Strat's official aunts (aka both our moms and all our sisters) were able to come down, as well as a lot of our Williamsburg friends. There was trivia, some guessing as to how big my bump is, and a game where we had to guess baby objects from close-up pictures. I did not fair well on really any of the games...good thing they are not tests of my future parenting skills!

I am going to post pictures, but before anyone comments about my budding photography skills, Ashley took all of these pictures so I can't claim any credit. Thank you, Ashley!

Me with all the ladies who threw the shower, minus Maggie, who did a ton of work but then sadly couldn't make it:

The college roommates!

Family:

Some of the decorations and food...my mom made all the desserts and lunch was brought in from Sal's, an Italian restaurant in town. On the tree in the last picture, everyone could write Baby Strat a little note on one of the birds and hang it:

The favors, with a poem written by Jennie and Maggie:

Lunch:

Gifts, and please be sure to note in the last picture that my sister made her niece/nephew a homemade mobile for his/her crib (!!):

As you can probably tell, it was so much fun and just absolutely wonderful to spend the time with our family and friends getting ready for this baby. Thank you so, so much to everyone who put the shower together and everyone who came to celebrate with us!

It was a wonderful shower and so good to have (most) everyone together. I love Jennie's face in the picture with you and the mobile!

Beautiful pictures! I am so sad I missed it, but I can't wait to celebrate Baby Strat's arrival! That pic with the mobile is my favorite too -- such an amazing gift!
