Pumpkin carving

I know people are anxious to see Eleanor in a cute Halloween outfit, but I haven't yet put it on her today so it'll have to wait. In the meantime, Chris and I carved our pumpkin this week! Chris thinks the pumpkin should look happy so therefore, we pick a relatively happy smile each year (pumpkins from 2009, 2010, 2012). I also like to go pretty simple because let's be honest, the real reason I carve the pumpkin is to roast the seeds...having a jack-o-lantern is a nice bonus, but I probably wouldn't do it if not for how delicious the seeds are.

The plan for the day is to dress Eleanor up in her costume and take some pictures of her with other adorable dressed up babies. Perhaps there will also be some trick-or-treating involved (aka candy for mom and dad)...

Oh there will be trick-or-treating. Isn't the chance to trick-or-treat again the point of having kids? :)

You have a great porch for a Jack-o-lantern. Cute!
