A day in the life

This summer has been pretty slow around here. Not a lot of summer things start up until July because school didn't get out until 2 weeks into June and it took me a long time to figure out some semblance of a routine now that all of us are home all day and it's so hot out! So here is a depiction (primarily in pictures) of a day in the life of our family...

Hang out in the morning. Make a mess of the house. Ben tries watermelon for the first time. The babies go down for naps.

Picnic lunch outside in a tepee. Girls go down for naps.

Girls come out from nap time to "tell me something."

Girls go back to naps and I try to relax for a couple minutes.

Rosie wakes up!

Girls come back out because they know Rosie is up now (they never napped).

Head to the backyard for popsicle snack. This was extra smoothie I made the day before and we froze it into popsicles (notice it is afternoon and still no one is dressed).

Everyone gets dressed. Short lived water balloon fight.

Ben wakes up!

Ride bikes to a neighbor's house to play. They have a zip line!

Back home to meet Chris for dinner, and then bed time.
