ChristmasTown

I just found out that this is only Christmas Town's 10th year! I thought this had been going on forever. We've been going every year since 2013 and it is magical every time. We went last week (before Christmas) and it did not disappoint.

We got to see a few shows: Scrooge No More (adaptation of A Christmas Carol), Gloria! (play about Jesus' birth), and Twas that Night (an ice skating show featuring Elvis Stojko). Ben and Rosie were very much into the shows and music this year! We ran into a friend at all three shows we planned to go to and she ended up rocking Ben to sleep and he slept through Gloria! We ran into another friend at Twas that Night who ended up taking our big girls to the bathroom and then held Rosie throughout the performance - thank God for this village that seems to appear and come through during critical moments. This past year we have become necessarily dependent on others and the Lord has provided new people in wonderful ways.

We also got to see a few shows we hadn't planned on - the O' Tannenbaum show in Germany and the Elmo show in Sesame, just because we happened to be walking by at the right time. We rode a few rides...

We looked at the gorgeous lights and Christmas decorations.

We also got to ride the Christmas Town Express - the train that takes you all around the park to see all the lights. Everyone on board sang Christmas carols together and it was quite wonderful! Ben particularly loved it.

We also took our annual picture on the polar pathway:

On the way out of the park, Eleanor and Jane got really tired. They had walked well over a mile or two throughout the park all afternoon and evening, so I put Rosie in the carrier and the big girls got to hop in the stroller for the trip out. People didn't even try to hide their amusement and we got audibly laughed at while we pushed our crew around.

Merry Christmas from Christmas Town!
