November wrap-up

This is the first month that was consistently cold here and we all loved it. It's not cold enough that I have to do a ton of bundling (which I hate in this season as there are so many of us that have to be bundled), and still nice enough to enjoy playing outside.

Eleanor was invited to TWO friends' birthday parties, and true to form, sat there alone until she finished every piece of her cake. She also got to go on a pirate treasure hunt - one of the more fun parties I've seen!

Chris played kickball, and we occasionally went to watch his earlier games.

We are continually working on containment when we are outside with the twins right now. It's an unfortunate time to become mobile with lots of acorns, leaves, and other things on the ground to eat.

We've been raking tons and tons of leaves.

Rosie occasionally is hard to find. She darts off on all fours and we often find her in little hidey holes underneath things and people.

I caught Jane licking flour on the countertops the other day (????)

I voted and the kids played on the playground at Eleanor's school.

The basketball season has started!

The kids have also spent lots of time playing inside.

We had a girls night, which is surprisingly not super rare, but it is rare that we take a picture!

Eleanor got to go to book club at school with one of my friends from my book club! This has been one of the harder parts of school - a lot of the "special" event things require a grown up to be able to participate but I can't take her because I have the other kids at home. Thankfully we have been so blessed with people in our lives recently willing to step in and fill these roles so Eleanor can still go (and so Jane can go on her school field trips). In this picture Eleanor had to disguise a turkey so she picked to decorate hers as a Tribe basketball player!

The leaves are everywhere. This pile was taller than the kids in it!

We have slowly been decorating for Christmas. Chris and the girls put lights up the weekend we got home from Thanksgiving.

There has still been a fair amount of tree removal going on from the hurricanes this fall. One of the neighbors on our street is still living in a hotel (hopefully will be back before Christmas) because they still have a hole in their roof.

A great month, and now we are happy to be in the advent season!

Wonderful, wonderful. The children are amazing to watch, if only on this blog which is great fun! Thanks, Katie, for taking the time to keep quite a few of us in the loop.

hugs, grammy
