We had a wonderful Valentine's Day.
Jane had a VIP day at school on Thursday and got to bring in Chris and some Valentine's she had been working hard on for weeks.
Eleanor had also been hard at work on her Valentine's. She had written personal notes to every single one of her classmates. Unfortunately I didn't look at them until the night before. Some highlights included (spelling corrected):
- "Dear William, Please don't eat when it is not lunch of snack time."
- "Dear Aniyah, Can you please stop messing around with things? Love, Eleanor."
- "Dear Malachi, Can you please work faster? Love, Eleanor."
- "Dear Emeric, can you try to be yourself again? Love, Eleanor."
- "Dear Max, Can you try to stop clipping down? Love, Eleanor" (If a classmate misbehaves, their "clip" moves down on a chart).
- "Dear Connor, please do not lie. Love, Eleanor."
- "Dear Luke, Keep pulling on your loose tooth. Love, Eleanor."
- "Dear Jake, Can you please stop distracting me? Love, Eleanor."
That being said, she had a great day at school and also celebrated the 101st day of school.
We had our tradition of french toast for dinner the night before because the girls wanted heart-shaped pizza on Friday for Valentine's Day.
And Chris gave the girls flowers and notes Valentine's morning. Grandma left little plants and chocolate for the kids, AND we also received some beautiful valentines in the mail that the kids have hung up on their desks and fridge to enjoy.
Happy Valentine's Day to all!
