We've decided to memorize poetry as part of our homeschool curriculum this year. We are using this as a way to increase fluency, learn intonation, practice early aspects of rhetoric (figures of speech), and public speaking. So here are the girls' recitations of Bed in Summer by Robert Louis Stevenson (our poem for September).
