Florida - Jacksonville

Before heading home to Virginia, we stopped in Jacksonville to visit the girls' (and our) friends who moved away several years ago. We hadn't seen them in a couple years, and the girls were immediately hugging as soon as they opened the door. It was such a sweet time with a sweet family that we miss very much.

We got there one evening and had a fun time playing outside and having a big sleepover.

The kids loved picking their bestie up from school on go carts.

We went to dinner by boat one evening...
We decided to leave to drive home around lunch time, so that morning to tire the kids out, we went to their farm to ride horses. The kids took turns and had a great time. I was actually pretty shocked that Ben agreed to go. He had a great time though! All the kids had a great time.

All the kids...the oldest two are exactly 3 months apart, the middle two are 6 weeks apart, the youngest (on our side) are 9 days apart, and their fourth is one. 2x7, 2x5, 3x3, 1x1

We had a great time and were so glad we were able to see them on this swing down to Florida. From there we hopped back in the car and headed off to Virginia. We made it back with one stop (a longer one than on the way down to change into pajamas), but still relatively smooth. When we came back we had two solid days of cold and rain, so it was a nice reprieve from the nasty weather!

What a fantastic week. The stay with friends in Jacksonville looks like so much fun! I can't get over how close in age their kids are to yours. Fun times!
