This year Colonial Williamsburg decided to make Grand Illumination three weekends instead of one night. Ashleigh came down with a friend from Richmond and we headed over to watch. It was actually really great! The weather was incredible (and warm! Though it started down pouring on our way home) and the fireworks were fantastic.

Then on Sunday evening our neighbors decided to go caroling together.
We ended with hot chocolate and the kids truly had a great time.
