Easter

Happy Easter! For Palm Sunday our family read scripture at church - Jane's first time, and Ben and Rosie even helped! They did a good job.

We ended up doing a neighborhood egg hunt the Saturday before Easter - the first one our neighborhood has done since Covid (so the first one we've participated in. The kids had a great time. There were snacks and crafts, too.

That evening, we made Easter tombs out of marshmallows and crescent rolls - we did this for the first time two years ago and because Ben and Rosie were so enthralled with it (video here - we rewatch this video multiple times a year), we have kept doing it. The kids even tried to semi-recreate our old video.

The kids woke up and got festive while I was at the sunrise service at our church.

Then they searched for their baskets - took them 13 minutes to find all four!

We dyed eggs...

Eleanor made pictures for everyone and Jane made several craft-related gifts.

We went to the outdoor church service at 11.

After church, all the neighbors that were around for Easter got together to do a potluck. We did an egg hunt for all the kids.

Baby Robert even got to come by before they headed out to Hopewell for Easter.

The guys played a board game on the back porch.

Eleanor put on a show with Jane and Mackenzie as backup dancers. Ben contributed to the entertainment unexpectedly, as well.
