Kiptopeke

During spring break we decided to head across the bay and explored Kiptopeke State Park. The girls learned how to make daisy chains (out of dandelions) and actually experienced their first dandelion seed blowing as Chris is meticulous about ridding our yard of these specimens. There were lots of wishes for unicorns, rainbows, and monster trucks.


The big girls also picked wildflower bouquets on our walk/hike.

There were lots of fun boardwalks to cross...

And beach to explore!

Eleanor found lots of shells...

And there were some strange old ships planted out there acting as jetties...these boats are 9 of the 24 concrete ships used in WWII and are now sunken out in the bay. 

We even found this cool old sign...
