End of the school year volunteering

After an entire school year of not being allowed into the school due to Covid (seriously, the last time I was in there was August when we met the teachers), the school opened up and we had the opportunity to go to the school in the last two weeks. I got to go to Jane's author celebration where she wrote a book about "My House" - she loves writing! Her book was so long compared to most other kids' but she did such a great job.

Jane reading her book:

They had a Senior parade in the hallway for the local high school graduates who had gone to their school. The 5th graders got to follow them - it was very cute.

Then I got to go volunteer with the 3rd grade for their "X-tra fun day." We played a balloon game and a game with ping pong balls.

Eleanor hasn't had the smoothest school experience up to this point in her life - her only "normal" school year has been Kindergarten, and while this year was a good one, it had a lot of hardships. Overall we are still very thankful for how the year turned out for her.
