June wrap-up

School ended, summer started, and we've had some hot days and weirdly a lot of rain and cool weather for June. I went to Portland, ME with Chris' sisters and we also spent a day at the lake with friends and took a little camping adventure for two nights (more to come on these). It's been a bit of an adjustment to the no school schedule but we're loving the slow pace and long days playing with friends and being at the pool.

We've done some pool dinners with friends...

These two are the cutest four year olds around.

The kids are thrilled about their summer chore charts. I am thrilled that I have something to refer them to when they tell me they're bored.

Three peas in a pod.

Jane got creative making a bandaid out of stickers and toilet paper when she couldn't find a real one.

Riding in the chariot.

More biking...with no bike rack, I was able to fit myself, four kids, my bike, Eleanor's, Jane's, and Rosie's bike inside the van and the chariot (for Ben) in the trunk. It was quite a feat.

Chris and I had a date night at Busch Garden's Food & Wine festival - thank you Antelope and Riser!!

Water Country is now open again

We are still spending lots of time at our neighborhood playground.

Jane was invited to a class party on the last day of school at a friends' house.

Summer and sun = naps. Lots of naps.

Tech crew at church...

Ben and Robert discover a police car...

Spirit activities for swim (this one was nail painting).

Play time at the library, inside and out.

Eleanor got invited to a "glampover" party.

Ben was cute doing summer reading at the library.

June was great - looking forward to a couple more months of summer...
