Fourth of July

Happy fourth of July! We enjoyed seeing our neighborhood lit up for the holiday.

The evening before we had a neighborhood picnic down at the marina. The kids loved it! In fact, we hardly saw Eleanor or Jane once we got down there. They found a crew on the beach or in the water and were living their best lives.

Rosie spent almost the entire time out in the water playing chicken on a floating lily pad.

The next morning started early for me. The kids went to a mentor practice swim practice complete with bomb pops. I went to a group workout with friends.

From there we decorated bikes and headed into our neighborhood parade. A firetruck, ambulance, hay wagon, and mule were all escorting us. Neighbors lined the street for the entire lake loop - the kids thought it was amazing. Uncle Rob and Auntie Mollie joined in, too. Feel free to enjoy this video made by a neighbor.

We ended up grilling with some friends that evening and heading over to local fireworks.

Happy Fourth!
