June wrap-up

June was weirdly cool and wet at the start. We went through some transitions with school ending and summer break beginning, then getting up even earlier than school for swim practice. We took a short trip to Wintergreen (more on this soon) and spent a surprising amount of rainy days indoors.

Ben found his old pacifier...hilarious.

We played on a hill during a walk.

We went swimming in the river one day.

Chris had the opportunity to go with his mom to the Olmstead dinner this year. They had a great time!

Eleanor got to go see Hadestown at the Altria in Richmond with a friend. They got to meet and get autographs from the actress who played Eurydice.

Rosie was silly, wearing the balance bike as a necklace.

We played at Kidsburg.

And in the woods at Freedom Park.

The kids participated in the scouts' rain gutter regatta.

And the pool is open, and life is good.

Bus stop time has come to an end until next year.

Rosie has been cooking her own eggs in the morning before practice.

Chapel Family Picnics have started.

Eleanor won a pool float in her end of year class auction.

Ben got a bigger bike.

Fun times at Water Country.

School ended on a Thursday and the first swim meet was Friday. Year 2 of all four kids on the team.

Fun play dough creations on a rainy day.

Summer Reading Program at the library is underway.

More rainy day Hues and Cues.

Eleanor baked her first cake. I think the M&Ms are supposed to spell out "congrats Strats" on finishing school.

We grew potatoes this year. It was interesting!

We celebrated Chris for Father's Day.

And finally, Rosie and Ben put on a performance for us. They were supposed to be dancing and singing.

Onward to the only full month we have off of school now that school starts before Labor Day here...July!
