Eleanor's Winter Retreat and Spring Dance

Eleanor has been busy this spring! She got to go on her first Student Ministries retreat in March. They had a great time!

Some of the 6th grade girls, waiting for everyone to arrive.

We picked up a slurpee on the way.

Good times in the 6th grade girl crew:

They all had such a great time from what I heard. They did skits (6th grade girls won!) and ended up getting hoodies from the camp store for their reward.

Apparently their crew were "bonding" when they arrived and ended up missing dinner somehow. That became a running joke the entire weekend, that the 6th grade girls somehow missed dinner. The leaders ended up having to drive to a grocery store to pick up stuff to make sandwiches and they finally ate at like 11 pm. They incorporated this into their skit, which apparently was how they won.

Then it was time for the spring dance at the middle school. Eleanor went with some of the same girls she went with last time and had so much fun. They all got ready together.

Apparently at some point during the evening, the DJ played a song from Something Rotten (their spring play) and everyone who was present from the cast burst into choreographed dancing.

Eleanor is living her best middle school life this year. I'm praying it continues in the years to come!
