Fourth of July was lovely and busy this year! It's the first holiday we've had where both Chris' and my family both live locally. We juggled trying to spend time with everyone, as well as carrying on the neighborhood traditions our kids love.
Uncle Eric came down a day early and we decided to head to Water Country! It was packed but still a fun time. We did several slides and Hubba Hubba Highway, the wave pool, etc.
Friday, the Fourth of July, was busy! We went to our annual "America's Birthday" workout. Eleanor was old enough to participate this year (you have to have completed 6th grade). Ben, Rosie, and Jane did the kid workout.

Then on the 6th we had a family dinner before Uncle Eric had to hit the road to head home.
From there we headed right to our neighborhood bike parade. Grandma, Eric, Uncle Rob, Auntie Mollie, Robert, Matty, and Sally met us there.
We ran over to Governor's Land to pick up a parking pass for fireworks later that evening if the kids were still up for it. Gaby was exploring all her new neighborhood has to offer with Robert and Matty.
We went home to eat some lunch, cool off in the a/c after a morning out, and head to the pool with Grandma, Uncle Eric, Antelope, Uncle Benny, Bonnie, and Riser! I apparently didn't take any pool pictures, but it was quite refreshing despite being very crowded at the pool!
Then we headed to our neighborhood picnic. The kids did lots of swimming, and eating.
Then they played some old school games! An egg toss and the flour pot race.
Happy 4th of July!
