Beach

We haven't been to the beach on a family trip in quite awhile but this year my mom offered to get a house for us and we went! It was so lovely!! Everyone else got there Wednesday and we came up Thursday. 

We hopped right in the pool with everyone else and then headed down to the beach for an evening walk.

I love the beach in the evening:

We didn't get too wet but did feel the water temperature.

The next morning, Rosie and Chris made pancakes for all the cousins - one of Rosie's favorite things to do these days:

Grandma also took the kids on a bike ride to see the turtles:

Then it was beach all day!

There was an amazing sandbar. The sand was soft, the waves were fun, the water temperature was nice. I cannot remember having better beach conditions before!

Nothing like Cheetos at the beach...

We headed back to the house eventually to do some puzzling, hop in the pool, and the kids watched a movie. We dove for gems in the pool, the kids also got to enjoy ice cream courtesy of Dave.

The next day Rosie woke up and made pancakes again.

And then the twins and Jane went on a bike ride with Grandma to see the turtles:

Then it was back to the beach for more sunshine:

Jane boogie boarded so hard she broke her board in half!

These tiny clams kept washing up on the shore and then we got to watch them dig back down into the sand:

You could not pry these two out of the water!

Then back at home it was time for more pool!

The kids played foosball and pool:

And we played a lot of Bomb Busters:

Jesse, Rachel, and Jase came up to visit, too!

The last evening, Eleanor, Dave, Eric and I went back to the beach to enjoy the sunset and see some ghost crabs:

Sadly the next morning it was time to say goodbye! Thankfully it rained all day so we didn't miss any good beach time!!
