Capri - Day 5

This day may have been my favorite! We went on a boat tour from Sorrento to Capri.

The boat took us around to check out the grottos around Capri.

They took us to the Faraglioni rocks.

Then the boat parked and we got to dive in and swim!

We hopped back on the boat and cruised the circumference of the island until the driver dropped us off for a few hours to explore.

Once we were left on Capri, we actually headed straight up to Anacapri for lunch. We ate at a cute place recommended by the taxi drivers called Il Saraceno.

Then we took a chairlift up to Monte Salerno. It was amazing.

From Monte Salerno (the highest point on the island), you could see the mainland and the Faraglioni (the famous rocks).

The water in the Mediterranean was so amazingly blue. You could see all the way through to the ground.

We went down from Anacapri to Capri and explored for a bit. It was a cute town, and obviously quite wealthy.

Of course we also got gelato.

From there we headed back to the boat to ride back to Sorrento.

As a parting gift, our boat driver gave everyone limoncello shots.

Then back to Sorrento for dinner!

That night was quite memorable as we happened to walk by when a lady in ther 80s fell. We ended up spending over an hour trying to get her medical care, translate (using google) for the paramedics, and distracting her two grandchildren from what was going on (as she was quite visibly injured and there was a lot of blood). So no pictures of the evening!
