SB2W - 2026

This is the first year that ALL FOUR kids were old enough to go to Summer's Best Two Weeks! Ben and Rosie have been excited and anticipating this for at least the last year and a half. It was a long drive up the day after school let out!

We first went to the boys' side of camp and set up Ben. He was on a bottom middle bunk. He was a Cabin 1 Rookie!

Rosie also was a Cabin 1 Rookie on the girls' side this year. She bunked top middle:

Jane was top middle - Cabin 4 Junior Varsity:

Eleanor bottom middle - she had a huge jump this year to Cabin 8 - Collegiate:

Finally it was pick up day!

We unfortunately had car trouble. We had no issues all week long and the morning of camp pick up, we hopped in the car at 5:45 am and it wouldn't start. We tried to jump it and that didn't work either. Finally I hopped in the car with Ashley who drove me to camp while Chris stayed behind and waited for assistance. The tow truck driver was able to start the car and Chris got the battery replaced at a local place and made it to camp just in time to leave. Meanwhile, I had to collect the kids stuff and just pile it in the grass because I didn't have a car to put it in!

Singing in the dining hall:

Then time for cabin awards. Ben got the sponge award because he absorbed everything! He also got 1st place in high jump and 3rd in the 100 yard dash. Ben did rumble for his trip this year:

Jane got the counselor-in-training award because she was so helpful to all her cabin mates. She also got 2nd in high jump, her Bible certificate, and for the FIRST TIME...her small "S!" She has been trying to get this three years running and finally earned it! Jane did Que Adventure for her trip this year:

Rosie got the joyful award. Her counselors said she was always joining them dancing on the floor in the morning helping to wake everyone up! Rosie got 2nd place in the 50 yard dash and in high jump. She also got her Bible certificate and craft ribbon. Rosie did rumble for her trip this year:

Eleanor got the leader award this year for being a leader in their cabin and being helpful. She also got 3rd in the 100 yard dash, her Bible certificate, and her overall small "S" for the 3rd year in a row! She did hike for her trip this year.
