Multi-call

I'm not a huge phone person. I had a blackberry last year for work, and I didn't use it very often. There was too much on the phone I didn't use or know how to use. While I sometimes miss the convenience of having the internet in the palm of my hand and always miss the convenience of my email, I was not sad to see the phone go.

The biggest thing for me is that the phone works. Once I have a phone I like, I tend to hang on to it. I had my last phone for 4 and a half years before it finally broke. I probably would have bought the same model phone if they still sold it because I knew how to use it and I knew it worked well! Instead, I settled for the same model Chris has, because I also already knew how to use his.

While I don't use my phone all the time, I definitely rely on it. We don't have a land line so I don't know what I would do without it! I felt so bad for my mom this weekend because she relies on her phone much much more than I do! My mom's blackberry got the screen of death this weekend and she was not pleased. She was going to try to program an old phone with her current phone number so she could have something usable until she could get her own phone fixed.

She called Verizon who told her to call a general programming number that would switch her phone number to the new phone. Someone on that phone picked up. At one point the conversation went something like this:

Mom: "Well the person on my left ear says you, person on my right ear, can hang up now"

Left ear person: "Me?"

Right ear person: "Me?"

Mom: "No, I don't know. Do you want to just talk to each other?" She then proceeds to hold the phones up to each other so they could chat for a minute or two and straighten out the situation.

Eventually the phone number got switched and all was well, but not without the situation's share of confusion. I love love love technology, but reeeaaally dislike all the problems that come along with it!

I miss my old phone, too. It was a dinosaur, but it worked great, until it died. Sad...
Snow looks so pretty in this picture!

That was really funny! Thanks for the use of your phone to get those Verizon people taking!
