Homebrewing - the Taste Test

It's time - the beer has been brewed, fermented, carbonated, and probably a lot of other things.  We were having pizza night and decided to give one a shot to see how our first attempt came out.

I wanted Chris to taste first.  For obvious reasons.  I mean who wants to go first when you're trying something that could potentially turn out really gross?

Not me.

If you can't tell, he was skeptical, too.

First he smelled it just to make sure it had the smell that beer typically has.

Once we established it smells as close to beer as beer itself, he took the plunge.

And it was good!  We're really excited that we followed the directions and it came out well!
If you're ever in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by and see if you like it!

Congrats on a successful first brew! I'll bring the last of my first brew over this weekend.

....looks like you have the same issues with carbonation that I did..I think that's just one of the issues of bottle conditioning vs. carbonating with CO2 and kegging it instead.
