Fishing

One of the first things we did once we got to Texas was eat.  We've been eating like queens (and a king) for this whole past week!  But after we ate we headed down to the dock to see what the fishing situation was like.  All of us grandkids - or at least those that were interested - have caught a fish at some point during our visits to the ranch.  Lauren hadn't yet and it was on her list of things to accomplish.  We wanted to start out there to make sure she had ample time to get it done.  Her line wasn't in the water but 30 seconds when she caught her first fish! 

After that we all took turns and we each ended up catching several.

They were all tiny little things and we threw them back of course, but it was fun.  Lauren and I went fishing a little later in the week with new goals of getting our own fish off the line.  Up to this point Opa had done it for us!  It was pretty entertaining to watch - wish I had video for you!
