Emerald Isle

Last weekend Chris and I headed down to North Carolina for a weekend at the beach. His family was down there enjoying the beautiful weather and we were thrilled that we'd get to join them, if only for a short time.  We were able to do this last year, too, and it was a ton of fun!

We had gorgeous weather all weekend long - we were really thankful for it since we were only there for a short time!  All together there were ten of us "kids", friends, cousins, and honorary family members, so of course that made it even more fun.

Not to mention the location.  I mean how much closer to the ocean can you get??

The best part was just that we were able to have a really relaxing weekend before the madness of this week started up.

We're still in the process of moving - most all of our stuff has made its way to the new apartment, but very very little has actually been unpacked!  It's a lot more work than I realized when you only have a couple hours after work each day in which to get things done.  It helps though that we don't have the tv, cable, or internet to distract us at home yet :)
