Gild Hall

I felt like our hotel deserved a post of its own. Why, you might ask? Well, because at the hotel an individual-sized bag of Famous Amos cookies ran you $6!

I left all the logistical-type planning up to Chris for the weekend since it was his friend's wedding and he was the one who knew the schedule, and frankly, the cost of things in NYC is just stressful to think about! I have to say, he did well! :) He found an awesome deal on one of the world's 100 best hotels (according to a travel magazine). I was really impressed when they offered us complimentary champagne at check-in. I am used to much less fancy!

The hotel seemed rustic-themed, kind of like a hunting lodge - but it was not rustic at all! I loved it. My favorite part was the antler chandeliers - they were so unique!

Our room was great, too. I was bummed we were only staying there for one night. Next time we go back to NYC I would definitely stay here again.
It was a great hotel - pretty close to everything we had planned for the weekend, but also quiet so I slept well!

That chandelier looks just like the one we had in the Esszimmer in Vienna!
