Memorial Day weekend

We had an awesome three-day weekend that involved a pirate-themed party at a lake, birthdays, family and friends.

Saturday we headed to the lake to celebrate one of Chris's friend's birthdays where Chris got a sweet new tattoo. He got to spend time with a lot of his friends from high school, which is a rare opportunity for him these days as we don't live close by anymore.

Then we headed up to Leesburg to celebrate my dad's birthday. We were about a week late, but it was great to be able to get together for it!

We invented a new game that involved both wiffle ball and the sprinkler, since it was over 90 degrees outside and stifling hot. It was basically wiffle ball with a points system implemented depending on where/how far the ball went and using the sprinkler as interference.

And, of course, my bro's cat was home, too. He had the opportunity of being introduced the the sprinkler this weekend and was not pleased with the experience.

Happy Memorial Day, and a great big THANK YOU to all of those out there who have served and are currently serving our country both here and abroad.

That's a pretty mean looking pirate tattoo! :-)
