November, give thanks

The fall season, and particularly the month of November, always reminds me how blessed we are. Maybe it's that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Maybe it's the colder weather causing us to spend some time inside with family and friends and provoking a slow-down of daily life. Maybe it's the changing leaves offering a daily visual reminder of this world's beauty. Whatever it is, it causes me to reflect on everything we have and hold dear.

Some of the things I am thankful for this month: my husband, our immediate families and extended family all over the country, friends both here and far away to go through life with, health, both of our current jobs and a few job prospects for me next year, an end in sight for my commute to work, our church, living in a city we love, the ability to vote, fireplaces, crock-pots (though I don't use it enough) and wool socks.

Of course, there's a lot more I'm thankful for but it's a start...love the fall season!

good to remember all of the ways we've been blessed! crock-pots and wool socks would definitely be in my list as well...and electric blankets!

thank you for reminding us of all we have to be thankful for this time of year! while I still mourn the loss of summer, I have missed my slippers and flannel shirts!
