Eleanor is one month old today! Just like most parents, we kind of can't believe she's already a month old but also feel like she's been around forever. That first week home with her seems like so long ago. So what has baby Elle Jay been up to this month? Well, she can pretty much always hold her head up now. She can roll over from her front to her back. She started making eye contact pretty regularly at about 3 weeks old and just this week started tracking things. She loves the moby wrap. We took her on her first road trip up to northern Virginia to visit family for a few days and she did very well in the car. She takes a bottle from her daddy, breastfeeds like a champ, and (my favorite) she can sleep 6-7 hour stretches at night, which is wonderful for us. She started sleeping in 4-5 hour stretches around 2 weeks old, but if she is well fed she can now go longer. At her last doctor's appointment when she was 2 weeks old, she was 20 and 3/4 inches long and weighed 7 pounds, 8.5 ounces. I would guess that she has put on at least a full pound since then and is probably a bit longer, too. We can tell that she's growing.
