Rolling Over

Eleanor is 19 days old today and she is starting to be awake more and more during the day so I've been trying to figure out how to occupy her during some of this awake time. A lot of the time she is content to just lay in her rock and play sucking on a pacifier and staring around the room, but sometimes she seems to get bored so I'll try to get her to do some tummy time. I think being in a new position confuses her, but today she seemed to be okay with it. She was content to lay there for awhile and then she rolled over!! I was totally shocked! Ever since we brought her home, if you lay her on her back on a hard surface she routinely rolls onto her side instead, but she has never rolled over from her front to her back. I happened to be recording her to send to Chris at work so I caught it on camera :)

We are impressed with our girl. I didn't think rolling over could even happen until babies were 3-4 months old and here she is less than 3 weeks old, only holding her head up about two-thirds of the time, and she is rolling over! Now we'll have to see if she can repeat it.
