This year I worked New Years Eve, so once I got off work we headed over to our neighbors' house to ring in the new year with friends. We played some games, ate some food, and watched the ball drop. It's pretty much what we do every year, but as always, it was a lot of fun :) Eleanor made it until midnight and then we all slept in until around 9 the next morning. It was wonderful. I had planned on letting her fall asleep over there but she never seemed to get all that tired, so she just joined in the festivities (aka sat around in peoples' laps).
On New Years Day, there was a home basketball game against ODU. Eleanor and I went and cheered the Tribe on to a victory. We had lots of friends at the game, including some baby friends of Eleanor's.
As you can tell from all of the pictures, Eleanor's "thing" right now is sticking her fingers in her mouth. It's cute and all but makes for one very wet face usually. She also likes to stare at other people's faces, particularly those of other babies. Anyway, Happy New Year to all!
