Playa del Carmen (Mexico, part 3)

We had a total of three full days in Mexico and based off the things we wanted to do, chose to have our central location be Playa del Carmen. Our last full day there we slept in after two very busy days of doing things. We spent part of the day shopping (had to buy the girls some adorable Mexican dresses!) and then headed to the beach. The water was very clear and very blue!

We were traveling in this area during the rainy season and so far had been very lucky with the weather. This day didn't prove to be an exception with some gorgeous sun. After we were there for a bit though, storm clouds started rolling in and we had to stop for some gelato under an awning to wait out the rain.

We went back to our Airbnb to hang out at the rooftop pool for awhile in the afternoon...

...before heading to Playa del Carmen's only brewery, Carmen Beer Company for local beer and pizza.

This was definitely our most relaxing and laid-back day, which was much needed after our first two busy days. That being said, we were ready to head back and see the girls the next day! It was the perfect length for a trip.
