Hitting the trails

So despite the fact that we got more snow in early January than Williamsburg has seen at one time in the last 30 years, we have also experienced some great weather without snow, too. We've spent several days a week out on the trails in the woods behind our house and hiking a trail close to Colonial Williamsburg. Eleanor is building up her stamina and often is able to walk up to three miles with us without needing to be carried or ride in the stroller - granted the terrain is not at all difficult. Jane still needs to hang out in the carrier or stroller, not because she doesn't want to walk, but because she gets so distracted while she walks that it takes forever just to go a little ways down a trail. Soon enough she'll get a bit bigger and be able to keep up with us.

Here's hoping for more good weather like this throughout the winter so we don't get cooped up inside for the next couple months!
