December wrap-up

December is always a wonderful time of year for us. There is more time together as a family because Chris gets some time off work and Eleanor isn't in school the entire month. We also get a chance to see our parents and siblings. It's a great time of anticipation as we prepare for our Savior's birth, reflecting on our numerous blessings, and getting ready to exchange gifts with our loved ones. In the midst of all of it, our day to day has been both the same as always, yet busier with the addition of Ben and Rosie.

The girls all got matching skirts from one of Gaby's friends.

Ben played cards with daddy.

Gaby and Papa Laser took the girls on a surprise date to Duck Donuts!

We played in leaves, leaves, leaves!

After somewhere between 18 months and two years without an ice maker, Chris finally fixed it!

Grandma came down for a few days almost every week in December to help with appointments, help us catch up a bit, and keep all the kids happy. Thank you!!

For the first time I can remember since we lived here, we had SNOW in December!

Jane surprised us by having some art skills. Eleanor didn't start drawing like this until the last couple months, so it was surprising to see Jane have some form to her drawing (she said this was Ben).

Eleanor had a pajama and doughnut party at school one morning.

Chris had a work party that we all got to attend, which included face painting, cookie decorating,
and s'mores.

We decorated cookies with friends.

Chris took the girls to their first Yule Log.

I brought the twins along with me to the annual Ornament Exchange.

We spent some time in Colonial Williamsburg where we ran into Santa Claus!

Overall a great month. We celebrated Christmas (more on this soon) and then visited with family for the last week of the month up in northern Virginia. We couldn't be more thankful for an awesome month full of family time, anticipation, celebration, and many blessings.
