Last week was Kindergarten registration in our county. Eleanor was so excited - she can't wait to go to school in the fall! They have a little program for the kids while parents fill out paperwork. Everyone shows up in one place and then they collect all the Kindergarteners, let them take a bus ride around the parking lot, give them a snack, sing songs and color, and then let them do a classroom activity of their choice. Eleanor had a blast! Meanwhile, the parents write out their kid's name and birth date about a thousand times on various forms.
I asked Eleanor to give me a kiss before she left and she did, but then she yelled, "There's no kissing in Kindergarten, mom!!" She ran out without a look back! She also had two friends from her preschool class registering at the same school, as well as two friends from church and one from our neighborhood.

That comment is so Eleanor! 😁
And , of course, the yellow dress!
I am glad she is so excited! Fun in her yellow dress..
Sounds like you drew the short straw on that activity ;) I love that Eleanor wrote her own name on her name tag - overachiever already and school hasn't even started yet. <3
