Eleanor broke her arm

So far we've been pretty lucky. In fact, I don't think we've yet ended up in the urgent care or emergency room with our kids. But there's a first time for everything and last week we had to take Eleanor to urgent care for an injury which turned out to be a broken bone. She's been quite the trooper and has handled it quite well. We were at the Wiffle Ball World Series (an event our church does for middle and high school ministries) and Eleanor fell off a swing. She basically landed on her elbow and while she tried to hang in there for most of the morning, we ended up taking her in during nap time (but definitely waited for Sno-to-go first! Her request, of course).

At urgent care, where we got to see a PA that volunteers in Jane's nursery class at church! Getting x-rays was the worst part of the whole ordeal because she had to move her arm.

At the orthopedic surgeon for follow up. She has to wear her splint for two weeks and then we go back in for follow up x-rays. Hopefully all will be well. She's been a bit bummed that she essentially has to sit out of recess and soccer for the next few weeks, but like I said, overall she's been a trooper!
