Rosie is eleven months old

Rosie is eleven months old today! She has hit several milestones this month. She learned how to sit up from a laying down position - we will occasionally walk into her room during nap time when she is crying and she will be sitting up with her pacifier stuck on her thumb too tired to figure out how to lay back down. Rosie is also pretty much crawling! She isn't very coordinated yet, but she has figured out how to move her hands and knees forward and she can make her way toward something in lots of fits and starts. It's a matter of a few days before we're going to have to watch under our feet when walking around. She has finally started babbling more and she mostly makes the "d" sound with a lot more variation than her brother: "dadideedahdadidah." I may have mentioned this before, but when Rosie laughs, she has this coughing sort of laugh she does from the back of her throat - it's so cute but also very silly. I don't know where it came from! She is becoming wary of strangers now and tends to cry when first left alone with someone. She eats well but seems pickier than her brother - she loves carbs though! Her favorite food right now is probably oatmeal with peanut butter mixed in. She still seems fairly lean though, so we'll see how she stacks up when she gets to her year old appointment next month.
