And a video of Eleanor singing her "Turkey Dinner" song at school!
We started out at Chris' parents' house for Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday was a beautiful day so we took the girls to the playground in the morning. The neighbor kids were there and Eleanor and Jane ended up spending the two days playing with them on and off.
Later that afternoon we were able to go out and kick field goals. I made a 12-yarder, and Chris made a 35-yarder.
It ended up being colder than I thought it was going to be!
The kids had fun playing though, and Eleanor carried Rosie around the field with her.
That evening we played sardines (per Eleanor's request - she's been wanting to play again since we played in Florida this past summer) and had a bonfire!
The next day was Thanksgiving. We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on tv, which Jane was surprisingly into. I didn't take many pictures, but Chris took this cute one of Jane helping Mollie cook! And Eleanor fell asleep in front of the fireplace with Ashleigh briefly :)
That night we headed to Round Hill to do Thanksgiving with my family. We celebrated on Friday (thanks for waiting for us!), and it was cold there, too! I was able to run out to a couple local breweries that morning with Eric and Chris - Dirt Farm Brewery:
And Bear Chase Brewery:
Before dinner, we also tried to burn a pile of wood that Dave had collected. It caught but went out because everything was too wet. Still fun to try!
We had a delicious dinner and then spent the evening playing pool.
On Saturday it poured all day long. It was a great day to stay in sweat pants and hang out around the house. We played some Berryville-opoly (which I won!) and adventured around the property. The girls also got to enjoy ice cream sundaes both nights we were there!
It was a great and relaxing few days at our parents' houses! We are so thankful for so very much, the highlights being that we have healthy and relatively happy kids, family to visit, friends who feel like family here in town, and technology like FaceTime to chat with family who couldn't. Big thank yous to both our families for hosting our large crew. We know it's a lot of work, but we were so glad to be there! Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!! What's the bucket Jane is carrying with her costume? Benny and I were both cracking up at Eleanor carrying Rosie around. Also so thankful for technology but can't wait to be there next time!
