Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful and somewhat unexpected Thanksgiving this year. With Bonnie's early arrival, we ended up continuing on with our plans to go up to Chris's parents house on Wednesday on Thursday and then came back down to Williamsburg (instead of continuing on to my mom's house) to cook a Thanksgiving dinner here and celebrate Bonnie's first Thanksgiving with Lauren and Benny! Eric and my mom came down, too!

First we went up to Chris's family's house. We visited Jessie at Starbucks!

Then we took a hike at Mason Neck.

We made s'mores.

And Thursday morning we kicked field goals. I got a 15 yarder and Chris 35. I had to leave after 2 kicks because it was so windy and cold that Ben and Rosie were miserable. We also had to climb over the fence to kick.

We ate a delicious dinner.

And then took a walk.

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thursday night when I got home I did some prep and then started cooking early Friday! My mom and brother arrived around 10:30 or 11.

Bonnie and her parents arrived soon after!

Jane dressed up for us! (Other pictures from her school Thanksgiving celebration.)

And we ate another delicious dinner!

We were able to take walks down to Colonial Williamsburg...

...and down to the river.

We also played several games.

And Bonnie got to experience her first cousin bedtime!

We had a really fun Thanksgiving - especially enjoying the gift of our new niece. She slept most of the time, of course, but it was so exciting having a new baby in the family.
