Canoeing

The other day we decided to go canoeing with our neighbors. They back up to the creek in our neighborhood that leads to the James river, so we hopped in the creek and paddled up to the James.

We ended up paddling 2.5 miles up and down the creek and it was basically me and Eleanor the entire way. She did a pretty decent job! Jane and Rosie relaxed a bit.

Overall it was challenging but pretty fun! I hadn't been on the creek before so I was surprised by how windy it was - so many switch backs! It was cool to see our neighborhood from another perspective though! I love how we have river, creek, and lake access right in the middle of our neighborhood!
