We went to visit my mom and Dave when the girls had a couple days off of school since we were supposed to visit at Christmas and never made it up. Rosie especially had been talking about it for a month so we packed up the car and headed up for a couple days. We played lots of inside games because it was so, so cold.
The girls tried on my wedding dress and loved it.
It was a quiet weekend made a lot louder because all the kids were there.
We did run out to the park one morning to see if we could handle the cold, but it was short lived! I believe the weather was in the 20s.
Rosie went fishing a couple times.
We drove by my childhood home while we were in Leesburg, too.
When we got home (after a somewhat harrowing drive home in the snow/rain!) Chris had created a silly surprise for the kids. He had filled the downstairs bathroom with balloons!
It was a good visit and we were so glad to have made it happen after missing all the time together at Christmas!

I had so much fun with all of you! Playing follow the leader at the park and the snowball toss was invigorating! I loved Chris's surprise welcome home for the kids!!
