On Easter weekend with did the Run the DOG 5k through SHIP club. Eleanor and Jane did great! I ran with Jane, Ben, and Rosie, and Eleanor and Chris ran together.
The course was so nice! We ran by Chris' old house and through Colonial Williamsburg. Ben even ran the last 800m down DOG St (and quite fast, I might add, Jane and I couldn't keep up).
Jane had a great attitude and ran the entire time, clocking in around 50 minutes (in the fall she did 44 minutes, but the last mile was very rough for her).
We even saw the girls' summer swim coach who had a year round team running together.
Eleanor had set a goal to run the 5k in 30 minutes (last race was 34ish) so Chris paced her. She PRed at 30:29 and actually placed 3rd for 8 & under girls. We were very proud of how hard she worked!
