Camping in Cape Charles

We hadn't made much in the way of summer plans this year and our friends had their family vacation canceled, so we ended up deciding to do a two night camping adventure together. Both the husbands were less than thrilled, but we all had a great time!

We stopped at a brewery on the way there...

We walked around Cape Charles before we could check in...

And then we checked into our little cabin!

We swam at pools...

We played mini-golf...Ben played at least seven rounds. He was constantly asking when he could go play again.

 

We watched the sun go down on the beach...

We did paddle boats...

And enjoyed playing tic-tac-toe and checkers.

We had a couple camp fires...

We spent time at the beach...

And we roasted s'mores...twice!

The daddies played a lot of mini golf, and had a one on one match much the the kids' chagrin. When they got back to the campsite, some anonymous people had left them some mean letters.

We also checked out the famous Brown Dog Ice Cream.

Overall it was a great trip!

Everyone was very glad to sleep in their own beds again though.
