December wrap-up

I always think life will slow down a bit as we enter December - the short days, the peace of Advent, the cold and darkness that lends to being indoors more. I think that may be more true for January than the holidays, though, hah! December was lovely but full of fun activities and tons of family time.

There's been a lot of hide and seek in our house...

This one has really turned up the volume and commitment to her tantrums recently.

Sweet Jane - the last two are her dressed up for her elf workshop at school where her name was Buddy McJingles.

The girls got to see their friends in their dance performance.

Lots of scootering and biking to the bus stop...

Eleanor got to go to a friend's pajama birthday party.

I went to our annual ornament exchange.

Rosie continues to be Rosie.

Eleanor earned her whittling chip in scouts.

It is my favorite season for baking!

We played with friends.

We caroled with our neighbors and "Santa" drove through our neighborhood.

We've spent time at our playground, playing and practicing basketball.

Ashleigh gifted me her fiddle leaf fig <3 as she is heading out to California in January.

Construction equipment has been delivered for our neighborhood marina dredge.

The adults in our small group went out to a hibachi dinner (7 years after the first go round where we said we'd do it every year, hah!)

The kids went over to the church before Christmas Eve to put all the candles together - a several hour project that they mostly stayed on task for!

There will be more December posts to come with Christmas and other holiday events, but these are the random ones from the month and we are looking forward to a cozier, slower month to come! The older I get, the more I love the seasonality of life.
